Praise be
for rhubarb and cockles,
cauliflower, new potatoes, asparagus, spinach:
enjoying your firstfruits, we offer ourselves
as firstfruits of your renewal of creation
in Christ who conquered death once for all
restoring our hope and kindling our joy.

As osprey and puffin, swift and swallow return,
as blackthorn, gorse, bluebell and wakening trees
deck God's earthly altar in white, yellow, blue, green,
swathe me in the joy of the resurrection.

Earth be Glad is an A3 poster designed to encourage members of St John's Church, Edinburgh. It incorporates a wide range of ecological facts and tips into a colourful design and includes a section on prayer for the planet. Over 5,000 copies have been sold to churches around the UK and it has been translated into Czech.

I've edited two larger collections of ecological worship resources which are available free on the internet, Celebrating Creation (pdf, 252kb) is worship material for churches following the Eco-Congregation award scheme. Choose Life (152kb) was produced for churches in the European Christian Environmental Network to use during Creationtide, a season to honour the Creator observed by churches of all denominations from 1 September to 10 October.
